Former Cedar Realty COO Nancy Mozzachio Files Charges Against Current CEO

Ex CEO of Cedar Realty Nancy H Mozzachio filed a lawsuit against the company’s current CEO Bruce Schanzer for the charges of pay discrimination and sexual harassment. Whether the lawsuit will proceed or not, the decision will be made by the judge in Brooklyn.

According to Nancy Mozzachio on her statement last Nov 2 to CEO Bruce Schanzer, she says that he was giving improper comments to ladies at work. CEO Schanzer also called former COO Nancy “babe” and has made a few side comments about her breasts. CEO Schanzer is also being accused of making an imprudent comment about bringing some Double Ds to work while Nancy was drinking a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Also, the current CEO Schanzer is said to be giving out uncalled for hugs at work.

After the charges of pay disparity and sexual harassment was filed in court, the company has made a crucial decision to remove Nancy as Chief Operating Officer. She was terminated from her position after the meeting was canceled.

On the year 2015 there had been circulations that an external investigation is being conducted regarding the case, that’s also the time where Cedar Realty did some probing about it. However, Nancy stated the accusations of the female employees who were experienced the same harassment as well were never looked into by the investigators. There was an employee of the said company that went to Wall Street Journal to help spread her experience with Schanzer; according to her- she was asked by the CEO what color her underwear is. The former Chief Operating Officer is popular for her booming career in Cedar Realty. Starting her early years in the company last 2003 and 2004 as the Director for Leasing and Vice President for Leasing up until she has been promoted as Chief Operating Officer in the year 2004. Based on the allegations she has made about pay disparity, she is only receiving a small bonus incentive and a lower salary as Chief Operating Officer rather than the Chief Financial Officer and she expressed how unfair that is on her part knowing she should have the bigger pay. The said company has pleaded no guilty on the charges and after the investigation process made, the charges have not been approved and has been identified as no merit.
